Journeying though Mexico 🇲🇽

As I make my way down the streets of Mexico. There are small shops with all sorts of food and trinkets along the streets. The owners are very friendly and they really want you to buy their products! I stoped at a little shop and bought a cute dolphin necklace with my name engraved on it. It is beautiful! Mexico is a beautiful place! The ocean along the coast is breathtaking!

True story! I went to Cozumel, Mexico with my family on a cruise ship!

Back your bags!

For my second stop I will be headed to Mexico 🇲🇽! I will be making the popular Churros! Some fun facts I have learned are: In Mexico they love to bullfight ,rodeo, and play soccer. They are rich in native arts and crafts including yarn arts, bark painting a murals. Mexico is the largest Spanish- speaking nation in the world!

Churros

A churro is a fried- dough pastry- predominantly choux- based snack. Churros are traditional in Spain and Mexico, where they originated, as well as in the Philippines and Ibero- America.

I have to admit that the recipe I used didn’t work out as planned. I didn’t have any piping bags so I had to use a ziplock baggie and I didn’t have a star tip.🙁 My oil was to low so they were doughy not crunchy but they still turned out good.😀

Butter Tarts

As I continue my stay in Canada! I will make one of the Canadian’s favorites Butter Tarts!! Butter Tarts are a sweet tart that consists of a butter, sugar, syrup and egg filling, Baked in a pastry shell until the filling is semi- solid with a crunchy top!

In the recipe above she makes her own crust. I decided to buy a pre made pie crust. It was much easier and it was quicker. I would give this recipe a 8 out of 10 stars!
